This is my BP Portrait entry for 2008, the painting got through to the second stage of Judging.

The BP portrtait competition is held every year at the National Portrait gallery in London. First prize is £25 000 and a commission. I have been entering the competition for the past 6 years.



Herbert is my uncle and a very colourful character. His dog is called Poppy and the parrot is called Percy . Herbert lives on a farm in Haslingden Rossendale and raises cattle.
