In 2009 I was approached to paint a series on Crawshawbooth in Rossendale. I visited the village on a number of occasions and created 8 paintings 6 of which are now in private collections.

I really enjoyed working in Rossendale as this is where I grew up. It was amazing to pick out the colours of the stone and find that each house felt familiar to me. The weather being what it is made for some great atmsophere with typical british fog prevailent.
